Kate Walker’s work encompasses painting, performance and video, often working with groups in the community. Recent projects focus on queer bodies, and utopian and dystopian imaginings in popular culture. Walker received her MFA from the University of Arizona, 2005 and teaches both Time-Based Art and Drawing and Painting at Boise State University.

Walker has shown her work nationally and internationally including at Performance Arcade 2023, New Zealand.; City Gallery Wellington, NZ.; Queer Cultural Center, SOMArts, San Francisco; Abstracta, International Cinema Exhibition, Rome; Rocky Mountain Biennial (2020), Museum of Art Fort Collins, CO.; Northwest Film Forum, Seattle WA; New Media Fest 2020 at Torrance Art Museum, CA; and Postcollapse MinEastry of Art and Culture, Portland OR and Cerritos College Art Gallery, Los Angeles CA (2022)
