Leticia Camacho and David Bontrager Recognized by NSF Graduate Fellowship Program

Leticia Camacho has been awarded the prestigious National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship Program of 2022 (NSF-GRFP). David Bontrager was given an Honorable mention, which is also an amazing effort, given how competitive these awards are. Leticia will be using her fellowship to support her Masters of Biology research looking at optimizing survey protocols for estimating the abundance and distribution of Leporids, including black-tailed jackrabbits in the Sagebrush Steppe. Her project is supported by NSF-EPSCOR GEM3 and by the Department of Biological Sciences at Boise State University. Congratulations to both Masters students in the Quantitative Conservation Lab led by Dr. Jen Cruz.
