To get into the summer session course, you must first apply to Boise State University. Once you have been accepted, then you may register for the summer class. An application fee of $30 for undergraduates or $55 for graduate students is needed at the time of application. Boise State Univeristy will take a credit card.
To Apply:
Go to the BSU web page. In the lower right corner the word APPLY appears. Under the list after APPLY, click the Extended Studies link.
On the right side of this page is a link title: Summer Program. Click it. This is the Extended Studies web page. Click the Summer Admission & Registration link. On this new page, General Summer Program Information, click the Admission link. Choose the appropriate link, either undergraduate or graduate admissions.
For undergraduate admissions, a new window pops up: Admissions.boisestate.edu. Click the APPLY button at the top of the page. You will go to the section Not Seeking a Degree — fill in the online form. Have a credit card handy.
For graduate admissions, a new window pops up: Boise State University Graduate College. Go to the section titled: Admission for NonDegree-Seeking Graduate Students and click the Applicaton for Graduate Admission link. Fill out the online application by using the link at the bottom of the page: Continue to Online Application form.
For International students, go to the page: Boise State International Admissions page and fill out the necessary forms. International admissions is a little more complicated. Make sure you fill out allthe necessary forms.
Once you have been accepted for admissions, BSU will send you a username and a password. You then go to the page: General Summer Program Information (you’ve been there before) and click the link When & How to Get Registered. You will be sent to the page for myBoiseState to register. Log in and follow the instructions.
At some point, you will have to verify that you are currently an undergraduate student, that you have graduated from a university, or that you are currently a graduate student. At this point, you do not have to send an official transcript; a sent or faxed copy of your transcript will work. But do this as soon as you apply for admission to get the process moving.
Hydrogeophysics Short Course
The course number and title are:
GEOS497/597-001 or GEOPH497/597-001, Hydrogeophysics Theory, Methods and Modeling — 2 Credits. The 497 course number is for undergraduate students, the 597 course number is for graduate students. GEOS is for those who want Geology credit and GEOPH is for those wishing for credit in Geophysics. The 001 designates the section of 497/597. More than one section of this course number may be offered; make sure you register for section 001.
Costs are associated with the program (in addition to the application fee).
- Graduate students will need to pay $498 for this 2 credit class, plus the $350 course fee.
- Undergraduates will need to pay $412 for this 2 credit class, plus the $350 course fee.
