Over 200 members of the business community attended the 2nd Annual Gem State Business and Accounting Conference held on December 18th at Boise State University. The conference focus was to bring in top national, regional, and local speakers to discuss current and deÂveloping business, ethics, organization management, and accounting issues that professionals are facing. The event proÂvided those in attendance the opportunity to earn 8 hours of CPE credit. The conference featured special speakers including Mark Taylor, Chair and Professor of Accountancy, from the Weatherhead School of Management, Case Western Reserve University, Mark Miskinis from Deloitte’s National Office, Jeff Kummer from Deloitte, and Douglas Park from the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board. The conference was generously sponÂsored by Deloitte and all event proceeds benefitted the Beta Alpha Psi Endowed Scholarship Fund.
