Kaelee Novich Receives NEUP Fellowship

Kaelee Novich has participated in many research projects in the AML over the past two years. As a mechanical engineering undergraduate working in the Advanced Materials Laboratory, she brings a unique set of skills and ideas that compliment and improve materials research. Kaelee recently graduated with her B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and has decided to continue research in the AML for her Ph.D.

She starts her Ph.D. with a running start, thanks to an impressive fellowship from the Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Nuclear Energy’s Integrated University Program (NEUP). The award pays for three years of research and coursework, and includes an internship at a DOE facility. Kaelee is currently researching improved sensing technologies for nuclear applications, and plans to expand her research to include nuclear policy.
