About Robyn Mattison

Robyn Mattison is a Clinical Associate Professor in Boise State University’s Department of Civil Engineering. She joined the faculty in 2022 after more than two decades in municipal and consulting practice and now teaches Introduction to Careers in Civil Engineering, Technical Communications for Civil Engineers, Capstone Preparation & Professional Readiness, and Capstone Design.

Before entering academia, Robyn directed the City of Ketchum’s Public Works Department, managing water, wastewater, streets, and facilities divisions (2013-2017), and later served as Assistant City Engineer for the City of Boise, where she led the Water Renewal Engineering group and oversaw $10–$20 million in annual capital improvements (2017-2021). Her private-sector résumé includes project-management and design roles with Forsgren Associates, Stanley Consultants, and Black & Veatch. She is a licensed Professional Engineer in Idaho (#11497) and a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Accredited Professional.
