The Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) Scholars Program offers stipend-paid internship opportunities for undergraduate and graduate-level university students pursuing STEM degrees. The selected interns gain valuable hands-on experiences working with full-time AFRL scientists and engineers on cutting-edge research and technology and are able to contribute to unique, research-based projects. Graduate interns are able to collaborate with AFRL on current research and incorporate the research into their graduate work.

Internship Research Projects

Internship opportunities for summer 2021 are now available at Kirtland AFB in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and the Air Force Maui Optical and Supercomputing Site in Hawaii. Applications for opportunities at Eglin AFB near Fort Walton Beach, Florida, and Rome Labs in Rome, New York, is expected to launch in the coming weeks. Stay tuned for more details.
