The Renishaw In Via Raman Confocal Microscope

The Raman Confocal Microscope is equipped with a 785 nm laser. It also has a Linkham temperature controlled stage for temperature dependent measurements. Our lab utilizes this small spot (1 µm) spectroscopy system to characterize materials and thin films. It can be used to verify the stoichiometry and also the crystalline or amorphous state of Raman-active materials, including chalcogenides used in phase change and ion-conducting memory devices.
