This course is available for 15 NBCC CE hours and meets IBOL’s requirements for supervision credential.

Course Details

Dr. Raissa Miller, Ph.D., LPC will guide attendees through theory and skill development for practitioners who are or will be supervising interns and/or professionals in school, agency, and other settings. Topics include ethical issues in clinical supervision, models and best practices, documentation, and troubleshooting problematic dynamics.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Describe definitions and purpose of counseling supervision.
  2. Identify ethical/legal issues involved in supervision.
  3. Apply a variety of supervision approaches/models and techniques that are multicultural sensitive.
  4. Describe evaluation procedures and instruments to determine supervisee goal attainment.
  5. Apply knowledge of supervisory relationship characteristics and issues.
