Equipment Requests & Open Lab Reservations

GIMM students are able to reserve computer space during Open Lab Hours and request equipment be mailed to them.

We have the following items available for a 12 day check-out:

  • Huion Drawing tablets
  • Oculus VR Rift S headsets
  • Oculus VR Quest headsets
  • Go Pro Fusion cameras
  • Go Pro Max 360 cameras
  • Yeti microphones
  • Camera tripods

Equipment is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Place your request for GIMM equipment by completing this Equipment Checkout Agreement.

NOTE: You manually pick the machine number to use (1-30 or 74-83). Will display as: ccl-gimm-01-30 OR gimm-74-83

If you cannot locate your VPN email, please search DUO MULTI-FACTOR AUTHENTICATION in and follow the setup instructions.

Virtual Peer Mentor Requests

Do you need a little extra help with a project or assignment for one of your GIMM classes? We have Peer Mentors who are willing to assist. Meetings are scheduled for 30 minutes in length and will be conducted virtually. Zoom meeting links will be sent out before your appointment.

Academic Advising

General Advising


Academic advising is available to help GIMM students achieve their educational goals and prepare students to pursue new experiences and skills that will enrich life beyond the degree. Advising sessions can assist students with:

  • Adding a minor or certificate to complement the degree
  • Career Exploration
  • Connecting students to: Tutors, Academic Coaches and Mentors
  • Course selection: add/drop/withdrawal
  • Non-Academic issues
  • University policies and procedures
  • And much more!


Ready for graduation?

Follow the steps below before your final semester:

  1. Meet with your advisor to review your Academic Advisement Report (AAR).
  2. Enroll in all courses for your final semester.
  3. Apply for graduation in Student Center (for instructions click here).  NOTE: The application deadline is the end of the first week of the semester you intend to graduate (see the Academic Calendar for the exact date).
  4. Visit the Registrar’s website here for additional commencement and graduation information.

COBE Computer Placement Exam Information

Visit the Testing Center website for testing hours. Please note that the COBE Computer Placement Exam is not available to take during finals week or holiday breaks.

ITM Permission Numbers

Request Permission Number for ITM courses through COBE:

Permission numbers for ITM 325 or 370 need to be requested using the link below. When submitting your form, you will select “Other Reason for Request” and include information that you are:

  1. A current degree-seeking GIMM Student
  2. Have completed the prerequisite (ITM 225) or alternative prerequisite as required by GIMM (e.g., CS 121)
  3. If applicable: that you are requesting to bypass the ITM 315 co-requisite course.
