Three Minute Thesis at Boise State
The Boise State University Graduate College is pleased to offer the Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) competition for the sixth consecutive year. The 3MT competition began at Boise State in spring 2016. The first competition featured 15 student presenters with three winning presentations – first place, second place and audience choice.
Due to increased popularity of the research competition, this year’s 3MT featured two preliminary rounds leading up to the final competition. This year, the Graduate College is proud to offer awards for first place ($750), second place ($500), third place ($250), and audience choice ($250).
HISTORY OF THE 3MT
The Three Minute Thesis competition was developed by the University of Queensland and the first 3MT competition was held in 2008. Now the competition is held in over 900 universities across more than 85 countries worldwide.
