The Idaho Regional Alcohol Drug Awareness Resource (RADAR) Center
The Idaho Regional Alcohol Drug Awareness Resource (RADAR) Center is a substance use disorders, prevention, treatment and recovery information clearinghouse. Our personnel work to source reputable evidence-based resources to assist Idahoans who provide drug prevention, substance use disorders treatment, and recovery services.
The center’s staff sources resource materials from federal agencies including the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Materials are also acquired through grant funds dedicated to the prevention of underage drinking and tobacco use.
The Department of Counselor Education
The Department of Counselor Education offers a 60-credit Master of Arts in Counseling that prepares graduate students to become licensed professional counselors (LPCs). Students are required to enroll in either the School Counseling or Addiction Counseling cognate.
The Department of Counselor Education also offers a doctoral degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a cognate in Counselor Education and Supervision. This program prepares counselor educators and leaders in the field of counselor education and supervision.
The Master of Arts in Counseling, School Counseling cognate, the Master of Arts in Counseling, Addiction Counseling cognate, and the Ed.D. in Curriculum & Instruction, Counselor Education and Supervision cognate are.
