The Keith and Catherine Stein Luminary is an all-digital museum space, producing a range of immersive, interactive and sensory experiences. Combining touch-activated screens and immersive projection, we deliver cutting-edge content focused on visual and performing arts and cultural exhibitions for the Boise State community.

We are now closed for the summer (May to August), except for prescheduled events. Please check back for details when we reopen on August 19, 2024.

During the academic year, the Stein Luminary is open every Tuesday through Friday from noon to 5 p.m. Sometimes class reservations will interrupt regular hours. Please check the weekly calendar that is posted during the school year to verify exhibition times. For groups of 10 or more, please make a reservation by using the link provided on this page. Group tour limit: 30 people, including chaperones.

Location: Atrium of the Center for the Visual Arts, Boise State University (1110 S. Capitol Blvd. Boise, Idaho). Paid kiosk parking is available in the Brady Garage.

*No food or beverage is allowed inside The Luminary.

Inside the Luminary

The Keith and Catherine Stein Luminary is an all-digital museum space with touch-activated glass walls, 26K-lumen projectors, and 7.1 digital surround sound, producing a range of immersive, interactive and sensory experiences.

The Stein Luminary combines both touch-activated screens and immersive projection. We deliver cutting-edge content focused on visual and performing arts and cultural exhibitions to the Boise State community.
