Senior Project

Math students complete a culminating project or thesis. Students select a topic, work with a faculty advisor, and typically present some of their independent mathematical work. Final products include papers, posters, websites, videos, and more.

When it is time for you to begin your senior thesis, you can choose a topic from the Math 401 Marketplace, where Math faculty advertise project ideas.

The Senior Showcase happens near the end of each semester, and represents an opportunity for senior thesis and other researching undergraduates to share the work they have done. The Showcase also highlights work done by Vertically Integrated Project (VIP) teams. VIPs extend across years, allowing visitors to the Showcase to see the development over time.
