NCAA Basketball Championship Games to Impact Parking, Services

Boise State University will play host to the 2018 NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship First and Second Rounds at Taco Bell Arena March 15 and 17.

Parking on campus, particularly in the east and south zones, will be heavily impacted on Thursday, March 15, with games scheduled throughout the day. Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to use alternative transportation to and from campus that day, including carpooling, walking or biking, the Boise State shuttle, Valley Regional Transit buses (a free bus pass is available at the Student Union Info Desk) and Boise Green Bike. Utilizing alternatives will help ease overcrowding in parking zones, reduce game-day traffic and ensure a stress-free day for the campus.

In addition, parking will be available in the downtown garage at 11th and Front streets for $3 per day. Free game-day shuttles, as well as the regular blue, orange and gray shuttle routes, will be available for simple transportation to and from campus. See Boise State Shuttle for live shuttle updates and tracking.

Parking also may be impacted between 11 a.m.-6:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, during open practice sessions at the arena.

The lots expected to be most impacted throughout the week include the East Stadium, West Stadium and Bronco Circle which will be cleared all day Thursday, March 15, similar to football game days.

Advisories with specific parking information and instructions will be released early next week.

Campus Package Deliveries

Central Receiving will not receive or deliver any packages on Thursday, March 15, due to the tournament. Please plan accordingly with any expectant packages. Deliveries may be delayed into the following week as Central Receiving services return Friday, March 16.
