Boise State’s Online Master of Social Work Program Earns National Recognition for Quality, Value

Boise State University’s online master of social work (MSW) program has again received national recognition in two key categories: quality and affordability.

The program ranked 14th in the country in SR Education Group’s 2018 Most Affordable Online Colleges based on its efforts to provide economical options for students. Additionally, the program ranked 14th for 2018 Best Online Colleges. For the latter category, institutions are ranked based on academic strength factors as well as tuition rates and a commitment to affordability.

SR Education, an education research publisher founded in 2004, analyzed over 600 unique online colleges. Methodology included degree-specific tuition rates that are manually researched by SR Education Group as well as data from the National Center for Education Statistics.

Boise State’s online MSW program currently serves 270 students from 45 states around the country. The program is designed to prepare students for advanced social work practice with individuals and families. Students learn clinical, organizational and policy skills necessary for promoting social justice and equality and enhancing the quality of life for all people.
