Matthew May was quoted in a Boise State Public Radio piece, “Closed GOP Primary Has an Impact on Idaho State Employees,” and also was featured in BSPR’s new Idaho Matters show in a piece, “Why Idaho Has a Closed Primary Election.”
May’s dissertation research focused on the implications of Idaho changing from an open primary system to a closed primary system and how exposing the partisan preferences of the professional bureaucracy affected their relationship with public policymakers.
