Susan Shadle recently facilitated a three-day course design institute for STEM faculty at DePauw University and other colleges in the region. The event, funded by an NSF grant to DePauw, engaged participants in considering how to design courses to align desired outcomes, assessment of student learning and active learning pedagogies. A significant component of the institute was focused on creating inclusive STEM classrooms.
