Lauren Oe

Lauren Oe received a three-year, $304,000 grant to implement a comprehensive campus suicide prevention program at Boise State. The grant is funded through the Garrett Lee Smith Memorial Act within the Center for Mental Health Services. The grant is designed to help colleges and universities build capacity and infrastructure to support expanded wellness promotion, including making it easier for students to seek help.

Oe will work with key campus departments to carry out the objectives of the grant.

The grant will support training for the campus community about suicide warning signs and resources. It will help build a stronger connection to local community service agencies and provide outreach to vulnerable student populations at greater risk for suicide including those struggling with substance abuse and mental health.
