The College of Business and Economics (COBE) has named Brian O’Morrow senior director of Executive Education and Master of Business Administration (MBA) programs for working professionals.
“Brian is known for launching and leading programs that are focused on exceptional student outcomes,” said COBE Dean Mark Bannister. “With experience in both education and private industry, he will ensure that our programs continue to deliver outstanding quality, relevance and value for all students and alumni.”
Since 2012, O’Morrow has served as director of Boise State’s professional and online MBA programs. In this role, he successfully launched new graduate program offerings, managed curriculum re-design initiatives and increased retention rates. Before joining Boise State, O’Morrow was a senior executive for a private organization where he led multimillion dollar real estate developments and business operations. He is a 2012 alumnus of Boise State’s Executive MBA program.
O’Morrow was named to this new role after Executive MBA Director David Knipping announced plans to retire this fall. Knipping will remain in a support role for the Executive MBA program as an executive coach and instructor.
“I am grateful to David for more than 15 years of service to Boise State, both as a faculty member and as an administrator,” said Bannister. “He has enhanced our Executive MBA program at every level and has established a strong precedent for continued success.”
With O’Morrow in a consolidated senior leadership role, Ally Daniels is now director of online and professional MBA programs in COBE. Previously, she served as associate director for these programs. She is a graduate of the Professional MBA program at Boise State.
“Our MBA programs are focused on the student experience. Every offering is designed to help working professionals attain a relevant and respected degree to be more successful in their careers,” said O’Morrow. “I’m thrilled to lead these programs that are directly impacting organizations and communities every day.”
Along with MBA programs for working professionals, COBE offers the Career Track MBA, designed for recent undergraduates and early career professionals. The program curriculum emphasizes real world business education as students complete internships and projects for local organizations. Trisha Stevens Lamb, a graduate of Boise State’s Executive MBA program, directs the program.
