Brian Bolt, deputy chief information officer, and Max Davis-Johnson, chief information officer and associate vice president for information technology, presented at the West Coast CIO Cloud Forum at the University of Arizona Sept. 20-21.
The presentation, “AWS in Instruction – Using Amazon Web Services in Teaching and Learning,” discussed how Boise State currently is leveraging Amazon Web Services such as AWS Educate, which provides virtual compute time and virtual servers to students via free credits.
Boise State’s use of AWS AppStream to remotely deliver desktop applications such as SOLIDWORKS and ArcGIS also was mentioned.
