Brian Hodges plays the cello for Osher crowd

Brian Hodges, associate professor of music, presented a short course at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute in early March. “Music of the Baroque Period” focused on Baroque trends, composers and how the period’s art and architecture related to music. Many examples from Purcell, Corelli, Vivaldi, Bach and Handel were featured – some even demonstrated on the cello live in class.
