Arthur Scarritt, professor of sociology, Sarah Mawhirter, lecturer, and 10 undergraduate students of the Intermountain Research Lab in the Department of Sociology presented at the Pacific Sociological Association annual meeting March 27-31 in Oakland.
Their work investigated different aspects of how the privatization of public higher education exacerbates various forms of inequality and undermines the quality of higher education. The students also will be presenting their work at the Boise State undergraduate conference 10 a.m. -12:30 p.m. April 15.
