The COBE Distinguished Research Professorship was awarded to Tom Gattiker, professor of supply chain management. Chair of the Department of Information Technology and Supply Chain Management, Karen Corral, nominated Gattiker.
“Dr. Gattiker’s research output over the five-year window – eight papers published plus two under review – would be impressive for a professor on a research-focused (i.e., 2/2) teaching load,” said Corral. “However, it is even more impressive given the volume of administrative work that Tom has been responsible for and the reduced amount of his workload devoted to research. His productivity over the five-year window reflects strong intrinsic motivation and a level of dedication that is truly distinguished.”
