Karen Pinto, associate research professor in the College of Innovation and Design, was invited to give the opening paper at an international conference organized at the University of Tübingen on “Geography and Religious Knowledge in the Premodern World (1150-1550).”
Pinto presented a paper based on her forthcoming book titled, “What is ‘Islamic’ about Islamic Maps?”
