Grackle Makes Google Documents Accessible to People of Abilities

The Office of Information Technology recently implemented Grackle in G Suite (Google Apps) at Boise State.

Grackle helps make Google Docs, Sheets and Slides accessible to students, faculty and staff of all abilities in accordance with University Policy 8140 (Information Technology Accessibility).

Grackle will scan Google documents (automatically if you choose) and identify potential accessibility issues with images, headings, tables, landmarks and content. You can resolve these issues within the Grackle interface, or follow the on-screen instructions to address problems within the document.

Information about how to enable Grackle for your account and use the application to create accessible documents is available on the Office of Information Technology’s website.
