Need Help With Website Content? Come to a Summer Content Session

Many of the university’s websites have migrated over to the new platform, but questions across campus remain: What message do colleges and departments want to send to their audiences via their new websites? Who even are their audiences? How many times can the word “pedagogy” fit into one mission statement?

Fortunately, the Department of Communications and Marketing has scheduled three open workgroup sessions for campus professionals who are in charge of managing their department or college’s new website and are struggling with these questions and related content.

During the sessions, communication specialists will go over best practices and walk through reaching/engaging specific audiences. Individuals are encouraged to bring a laptop (if possible) if help for specific websites is requested. The workgroup sessions will be held:

  • 1-3 p.m. Thursday, June 13 in the College of Innovation and Design
  • 1-3 p.m. Thursday, July 11 in the College of Innovation and Design
  • 1-3 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 1 in the College of Innovation and Design

Drop in to any (or all) of the two-hour workgroup sessions and get help writing engaging, audience-targeted, SEO friendly messaging. Feel free to contact Cienna Madrid at ciennamadrid@boisestate.edu with questions.

Please note that these meetings will focus less on building and structure for new webpages, but instead on the content found on those pages. For help building up department/colleges webpages on the new platform, visit the “upcoming events” section here: https://www.boisestate.edu/webguide/.
