ASBSU to host mayoral debate Oct. 21

The Associated Students of Boise State University (ASBSU) will host a City of Boise mayoral debate at 6 p.m. Oct. 21 in the Student Union Building, Jordan Ballroom. The debate is free and open to the public. Parking will be available in the Lincoln Garage.

All mayoral candidates have been invited to attend. Confirmed candidates include:

Incumbent Boise Mayor Dave Bieter; army veteran and former Boise City Council seat 3 candidate Adriel Martinez; Boise City Council President Lauren McLean; Central Rim Neighborhood Association member Cortney Nielsen; former Boise Mayor Brent Coles; Ada County Highway District President Rebecca Arnold; and Wayne Richey.

As the official student government of Boise State, ASBSU is pleased to bring this debate to campus to help the campus community gain a better understanding of local issues, and to provide candidates a platform to speak directly to faculty, staff, students and the public.
