Reinhardt speaks on lessons learned from smallpox eradication in this era of COVID-19

Bob Reinhardt, an assistant professor in the Department of History and coordinator of the department’s internship program, recently was interviewed by KMUZ, a community radio station in Salem, Oregon.

Reinhardt spoke about the connections to and lessons learned from the eradication of smallpox and the current COVID-19 pandemic.

Reinhardt’s first book was, “The End of a Global Pox: America and the Eradication of Smallpox in the Cold War Era.” His specialties include public health.
