Ross Burkhart, a political science professor in the School of Public Service, was quoted in an article published today by PolitiFact, a news service that assesses claims made by public figures and organizations about politics, economics and society.
The article is titled “Did Donald Trump lose a trade war he started, as Joe Biden says?” Burkhart was quoted on the topic of the motivations for the trade war, and offered the observation that past U.S. presidential administrations have denounced China for intellectual property theft, and that this issue was cited by the Trump administration as an economically harmful matter that fell under trade relations.
