Chad Erpelding, a professor and graduate program director in the Department of Art, Design and Visual Studies, has been awarded a Visual Arts Fellowship from the Idaho Commission on the Arts for his work. The Visual Arts Fellowship recognizes Idaho artists whose work demonstrates a commitment to sustained exploration of their art form and engagement with contemporary practices. Fellowships are intended to recognize excellence, promote public awareness and to advance an artist’s career. Three artists are awarded Visual Arts Fellowships every three years.

Erpelding’s work explores various aspects of the stock market and the idolization we place on these metrics. For more examples of his work, visit chaderpelding.com.
