New dashboard tracks COVID on Boise State campus

A new online dashboard will help the Boise State community, and beyond, stay up-to-date with the prevalence of COVID on campus.

The COVID dashboard can be viewed at boisestate.edu/coronavirus-response/dashboard/. The dashboard tracks the weekly number of new COVID cases on campus broken down by category — faculty and staff, residential student, and commuter student — and tracks the percentage increase or decrease of cases over the prior week, along with the total number of cases since August 15. Users also can see how many of the university’s 115 beds designated for isolation are in use.

The university’s Public Health Office will update the data dashboard every Friday. Special thanks to Brittany Brand and Carson MacPherson-Krutsky of the Hazard and Climate Resilience Institute at Boise State, along with Lantz McGinnis-Brown and Gabe Osterhout of the Idaho Policy Institute, for their efforts to design, create and help maintain the dashboard.
