Mark Cowan, a professor in the Department of Accountancy, made a presentation titled “When You’re Not Really Fine: Hear From Your Peers on Surviving and Thriving in COVID-19” at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Professionals Group in November 2020. He discussed mental health issues in the workplace based on his Journal of Accountancy article “Depression and the CPA”. The audience for the presentation was more than 100 SEC reporting professionals from across the country.
The SEC Professionals Group is a community of in-house professionals who actively prepare and file financial reports with the federal agency.
