Anna Pollworth, p-card administrator for Procurement and Vendor Services, is retiring after serving the university for 24 years.

Her career at Boise State began in September 1997 in the art department as a front desk administrative assistant.

Pollworth transferred to Administrative Accounting in 2000 and handled university accounts receivable. She was promoted to p-card administrator 2003.

Her vast knowledge and unparalleled customer service has made her the “go to” person for anyone on campus making purchases, said her colleagues. She consistently worked to find the best solutions for problems, worked with partners across campus, and eased administrative processes, they added.

University Financial Services has set up a digital retirement card to thank Pollworth for her service that anyone is welcome to sign:

More from colleagues:

“Anna has been awesome to work with as she has gone above and beyond to help our department with all aspects of the p-card process. Anna would quickly respond to questions and requests and was always driven to help come up with a solution that worked for our p-card holders. Anna showed great patience with me as I would often have urgent p-card maintenance requests. She consistently demonstrated a high level of customer service and would graciously answer all of the unique questions that I would relay to her. I really appreciate all the work that Anna has done for our department throughout the years and she will be greatly missed.” – Matt Mayer, business manager, Boise State University Athletics

“Anna Pollworth exemplifies great customer service. She is always so pleasant, patient, positive and helpful and is the guru for anything related to p-cards. She will be greatly missed – not only for her institutional knowledge, but for her personality and who she is. I wish Anna all the best and hope she has a fantastic journey on her well-deserved retirement.” – Suzan Raney, assistant to the dean, College of Education

“I’ve worked with Anna as a campus customer for 12 years and have had the pleasure of working with her as a leader for the last three years. Her passion for solving problems and improving processes is unmatched. She is the definition of ‘going the extra mile’ when it comes to customer service. She doesn’t just answer the question presented, but critically thinks about the issue and works with all the right actors to come up with the best solution. I’ll miss her personally and professionally for a long time to come.” – Alicia Dillon, director, Procurement and Vendor Services

“My experience working with Anna has been very positive! Anna is always very thorough and helpful. She has a wealth of knowledge that I hope has been recorded.” – Carmen Palomera, technical records specialist 2, Housing and Residence Life

“Yes, Anna is amazing at her job and she is the definition of customer service. We will miss her professionalism and her ability to get things done. But, more importantly, Anna is also so funny and genuine. She makes everyone around her feel better with her wit and caring attitude. I never have an interaction with her where I don’t walk away with a smile or a hearty laugh. I think we will all miss this most of all. Thank you so much, Anna for all you have contributed to UFS, and the entire campus. You are a treasure and I hope to see you at the Flamingo Bash.” – Jo Ellen DiNucci, associate vice president, Finance and Administration
