The five-year, $750,000 award will support Wu’s scientific research on the accelerated expansion of the Universe. Using two of the Department of Energy’s major experiments/facilities, the Dark Energy Survey and the Vera Rubin Observatory, Wu’s team will study the detailed formation history of cosmic structure in order to better understand the origin of cosmic acceleration.
