Michael Porter, associate professor of music and director of choral activities, recently received the Diversity Grant from the American Bach Society for his lecture recital “University Ties: Humanistic Dialogues in Bach’s Cantatas.” This series explores the humanistic themes of J. S. Bach’s Sacred Cantatas through discussions from various disciplinary lenses, Porter said.
