Research scholar Luca Piantanida and professor of materials science and engineering Will Hughes recently published an article in Nature Materials, titled “A PCR-free approach to random access in DNA.”
In their article, Piantanida and Hughes discuss how the general field of molecular data storage (where DNA is used to store and retrieve digital data) is proving to be a viable reservoir for future reliable technologies, and is growing at the point that completely new approaches are being tested.
