The California Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages Education Foundation invited Nicole Brun-Mercer, associate director of the English Language Support Program, to present the workshop “Materials that matter: Bringing diversity, equity, and inclusion into the classroom through storytelling” as part of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Teacher Training Initiative.
The foundation is a nonprofit organization open to anyone concerned with the teaching of English as a second or foreign language, standard English as a second dialect, or bilingual education.
