Grand Challenges Communication Series and Campus Open Forum

The Division of Research and Economic Development is excited to announce a Grand Challenges Communication Series and Campus Open Forum at 1 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 5.

This series of communications will introduce the first Grand Challenge topic area – Resource Nexus for Sustainability – to advance interdisciplinary research and creative activity across the institution. At this first event, the division will introduce new leadership taking on this initiative, discuss funding and opportunities for engagement, and review timelines for upcoming funding opportunity announcements. All disciplines across campus are invited to participate.

Please sign up to attend event here

Forum logistics

The division is working to develop the Grand Challenge website which will include a detailed FAQ section. To better glean critical questions and gaps in knowledge around the Grand Challenges – the overview, the mechanism, the process, or around the first Challenge itself – all are encouraged to ask a question in the above form and/or pose questions in the Zoom chat during the session. While not all questions may be answered during the session, questions will be used to build out the FAQ. For the in-session Q and A, the priority will be to answer live questions via raised hands.

For those who cannot attend the first forum, a recording will be available to view on the website. Also, please feel free to reach out to discuss questions at grandchallenges@boisestate.edu.
