Office of Information Technology asks campus community to wait before upgrading computers

The Office of Information Technology asks the campus community to delay upgrading Boise State-owned computers to the latest Microsoft Windows and Apple Mac operating systems until testing is complete to ensure compatibility with all standard university systems and software.

Microsoft recently released Windows 11, featuring improved security, simplified design and user experience, and new features that organize multiple applications.

macOS 12 Monterey offers a redesigned Safari browser, a new Focus feature to limit notifications and other distractions, and QuickNotes to capture information and ideas no matter what you’re doing on your Mac.

The office expects to announce support for these new operating systems and information about upgrades soon.
