Tomas Baiza, director of the Advising and Academic Support Center, received a nomination for the 2022 Best American Short Story Anthology. The anthology series dates back to 1915 and seeks to highlight the best short stories in contemporary American literature. Baiza is nominated for his story, “Hungers,” which is featured in Capsule Stories’ Winter 2021 issue, Sugar and Spice.
