Search begins for the interim dean of the College of Innovation and Design

The College of Innovation and Design has opened up an internal search for the position of interim dean. Gordon Jones, the college’s founding dean, recently announced his move to the College of Western Idaho to assume the presidency.

John Buckwalter, provost and vice president for academic affairs, and Alicia Estey, chief of staff and vice president for university affairs, will serve as co-chairs of a small search committee for this position.

“In selecting academic leaders, Dr. Tromp is committed to conducting open, transparent searches for both interim and permanent positions that allow faculty, staff and other key constituencies to have a voice in the selection process,” said Buckwalter.

The search committee includes Anthony Ellertson, founding director of Gaming, Interactive and Mobile Media; Nic Miller, Venture College’s executive director; and Veronica Roper, project coordinator for the College of Innovation and Design.

The position announcement is available on the Human Resources website. Interested applicants must submit a letter of interest, a current CV and three references in the PageUp system by Feb. 3 for full consideration.
