Boise State to hold fourth annual Bronco Giving Day

The university will hold its fourth annual Bronco Giving Day on Thursday, March 3, engaging alumni, donors and friends to support its students and programs through philanthropic gifts. The 36-hour giving campaign will provide quick, online access for donors to support several critical initiatives within the colleges, athletics, departments and other units.

The university invites all faculty and staff to join alumni and friends from around the world to support an area of Boise State that is meaningful to them. Every gift will make a difference, regardless of its size.

Throughout the day, live leaderboards will show the campaigns’ progress so donors can see in real-time the impact of their gifts. The Bronco Giving Day Gameday Guide offers donors tips for maximizing their impact on student life at Boise State.

Thanks to generous Bronco supporters who have funded matching donations and other challenges, gifts on Bronco Giving Day will have a more significant impact. To support Bronco Giving Day with your own match, contact Connor Tudbury, director of annual giving at connortudbury@boisestate.edu.

There are also opportunities to support Bronco Giving Day by becoming one of several giving day social media ambassadors. Ambassadors will have access to a personal dashboard with unique social media tools that make it even easier to reach and share the excitement with their networks. For more information on becoming an ambassador, contact Andrew Gauss, senior director of advancement communications at andrewgauss@boisestate.edu.

Additional campus events open to faculty and staff during Bronco Giving Day include:

    • ASBSU and the Campus Food Pantry are hosting a mobile food pantry at 11 a.m. on Thursday,  March 3. The Idaho Foodbank will drop off several tons of food to be dispersed to anyone on campus – including staff, faculty, students, and community members.
    • From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, March 4 in the Alumni and Friends Center parking lot, a Bronco Giving Day celebration event will take place. The event will feature food trucks, music and a classic car show. The Bronco Giving Day total amount raised will be announced at this event.
