Gray and Wickstrom to present at music education conference

Lori Gray, associate professor and director of music education, and alum Amy Wickstrom, masters of music education, and a teacher in the Boise School District, will present their individual and collaborative research at the International Society for Music Education conference in Brisbane, Australia, to be held virtually in July 2022. Gray and Wickstrom have presented together previously at the organization’s 2018 conference.

Gray will present three individual sessions:

  • Catherine Elizabeth’s Story: The Life and Voice of a Music Teacher
  • Ensuring a Successful Transition from Doctoral Candidate to Professor
  • The Storied Lives of PreK-12 Music Teachers in the United States

Wickstrom will present two individual sessions:

  • Bucket Drumming as an Intervention for Music Educators
  • Universal Design Learning: All Student Voices Represented

Together, Gray and Wickstrom will present “Establishing Successful Partnerships: Visibility and Voice for the Graduate-Assistant.”
