Unotate, a website and publishing company devoted to the works of William Shakespeare, recently published, A Midsummer Night’s Dream: the Unotate Shakespeare, that includes photos of the Boise State Department of Theatre, Film and Creative Writing’s 2019 production of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” directed by Gordon Reinhart, along with costume designs by Darrin Pufall-Purdy.

Mike O’Sullivan, editor of the book, contacted Pufall-Purdy about including the costume designs after a Google search that led him to the Behind the Scenes of A Midsummer Night’s Dream video. The video, produced by the visual services team in the Office of Communications and Marketing at Boise State, features a segment on Pufall-Purdy and his costume designs for the production.

Pufall-Purdy said that “it sort of shocked me a little bit” to discover the book features a two-page spread of his designs, but that “it’s a fabulous collaboration and I’m so pleased to be part of it.”

The book includes the text of the full play by Shakespeare along with hundreds of annotations, illustrations and photographs from productions of the play by universities and other production companies.
