Office of the Provost announces changes to Center for Global Education

The Center for Global Education is now the Center for Global Engagement.

The center was created in 2017 to support comprehensive internationalization for Boise State. They do this by directly working with university leadership, domestic and international students, faculty and staff, community members and organizations, non-governmental organizations, and foreign governments through their consulates and embassies in the U.S. The re-branding better reflects the breadth of the center’s mission and its contribution to Boise State, Assistant Provost Gonzalo Bruce said.

To focus on Boise State’s student-centered mission, the Center for Global Engagement has reorganized the Academic Immigration Services division into the newly formed International Student and Scholar Services. With this change, the Center for Global Engagement now comprises the following divisions: Global Learning, Intensive English Program, International Admissions, and International Student and Scholar Services.

These changes in the center are effective immediately and will be reflected across all communications in the coming months.
