Matt Smith, the deputy director and senior director of operations for the Office of Sponsored Programs, recently became a fellow of the Association of Public and Land-Grant University Council on Research’s Research Leader Fellowship Program. The program is designed to provide training and skill development to individuals who work closely in various capacities as, or with a university’s research office.
“The three development areas in my training plan are sponsored programs/projects, research development, and economic development,” Smith said. “My specific research focus will be on developing stronger relationships with DOE national laboratories.”
