A number of university-owned properties in the south area of campus are being abated and demolished to allow for future projects. The demolition projects are expected to be completed by mid-August.
Work is occurring on and around the proteries listed below.
- 1212 and 1216 W. Beacon St.
- 1136-1138, 1142-1144 and 1156-1158 S. Euclid Ave.
- 1225 Belmont Dr.
- 1113, 1117 and 1121 S. Denver Ave.
Those parking in South Commuter lots near the construction zones should be mindful when entering and exiting the lot and be on the lookout for workers and machinery. The areas where work is occurring will be fenced off during construction and campus users are asked to stay out of fenced in areas for their safety.
