Human resources leadership updates

Catherine Weitz has stepped down from her role as associate vice president of Human Resource Services and will depart the university to pursue other professional opportunities. University leadership wishes to thank Weitz for her contributions to the successes of Boise State.

With Weitz’s departure, Dani Dunstan will temporarily oversee Human Resource Services in her role as special assistant, reporting to President Marlene Tromp. This reporting structure will remain in place until the new Chief Human Resource Officer is hired.

The Chief Human Resource Officer search is slated to be complete at the end of the fall 2022 semester. Once appointed, this person will report directly to the university president and will serve a critical leadership role, responsible for developing a responsive, innovative, and collaborative human resources unit that recruits, compensates, retains and develops a highly talented and engaged workforce.
