Office of the President seeks student artwork on theme of ‘Unrelenting Spirit’

Boise State’s Office of the President, in partnership with the University Art Curator, seeks to exhibit innovative makers whose original creations interpret the theme of “Unrelenting Spirit,” a topic regularly spoken about by President Marlene Tromp. Works demonstrating mastery of technique, adherence to the principles of design and a clear connection to the theme will be prioritized. This call is open to all current students and all majors.

  • Entry period: Nov. 1-Dec. 15, 2022
  • Installation: Jan. 6, 2023 in Presidential Suite, Administration Building, Suite 200
  • Duration of exhibition: Through June 2023

Exhibition in the suite requires that the artist’s work be on loan and on display for six months, at which time the work will be returned. $400 awards will be given to all selected and installed makers; team entries will split award/s among listed team members.

Works can include, but are not limited to: Printmaking, Photography, Digital Art and Illustration, Textiles and Soft Sculpture, Documentation of Performance Works, Painting and Mixed Media Works, Metal Works
